What does eco-friendly cleaning mean for a Mississauga home?
Plant-based, low-tox products in place of the standard ones, on request, at no extra charge: no ammonia, no bleach, no scented residue on the floors a toddler or a dog will be on within the hour. The clean itself does not change; the products do. If you prefer your own products, leave them out and the team uses them.
What that means in practice
Surfaces are cleaned with plant-based cleaners, floors with a low-residue solution, glass with a vinegar-based product, and bathrooms with a low-tox descaler. Microfibre does most of the work on dust and fingerprints without any product at all.
Where we are honest about the limits
Heavy soap scum, mould in grout and baked-on oven grease sometimes need a stronger product to come off. We tell you before we use one, you decide, and the rest of the clean stays low-tox. A first Deep clean of a neglected bathroom is the usual case.

The low-tox products are used throughout; the Deep upgrade, oven and fridge interiors and windows are the same optional lines.

Yes. Leave them out with a note on what goes where and the team uses them. We still bring the vacuum, the mop system and cloths, and we still put right anything missed within 24 hours.
Are your regular products harmful?
Our standard products are ordinary household-grade cleaners, used as directed and rinsed. The low-tox option is for people who prefer plant-based products with no ammonia or bleach, and for homes where a baby or a pet is on the floor within the hour.

Are you insured?
Yes. Heron Cleaning carries $2 million commercial general liability insurance, underwritten by Tokio Marine Canada, for our cleaning and janitorial work. It covers our liability for bodily injury and property damage up to $2 million for any one incident and $5 million in total over the policy year, and the current policy runs to September 13, 2027. A certificate of insurance is available on request, and every cleaner is background-checked before their first visit.
