Every built clean is priced from published parts, so the total is fixed before we arrive and nothing is added on site. There is no minimum booking on a built clean. Will the agreed cleaning price increase on arrival?
Choose your rooms and tasks at published prices. We confirm the details and availability by phone. We do not increase the agreed cleaning price on arrival. Extra rooms or tasks are added only if you choose them and agree the price before the work starts.
How much should I pay a cleaner per hour in Ontario?
Companies in the GTA charge $45 to $60 per cleaner, per hour; independents $30 to $40 cash. Heron is $35 per cleaner, per hour with a 3-hour minimum per cleaner, supplies included, if you would rather set the task list yourself. Most people do better with a built clean: Basic from $89, then only the rooms and jobs you add, with the total fixed before we arrive.
What will a cleaner actually do in 3 hours?
Three hours with our two-person team is six cleaner-hours. For a typical 3-bedroom home that covers a Basic clean plus two bathrooms and the kitchen, which is what most people mean by a full standard clean. Inside the oven, inside the fridge, inside the cabinets and interior windows are separate add-ons with their own prices, so they are only done when you add them.
What is the going rate for a house cleaner in Ontario?
Compare the complete task list rather than a broad market average. At Heron, a typical 3-bedroom home is $164 for Basic dusting, vacuuming and mopping, or $229 with two bathrooms and the kitchen, before HST. Other providers may bundle different tasks. Compare cleaning companies using the same scope.
Do I need to tip my cleaners?
Never expected, always appreciated. If you'd like to, 10–15% is typical, around $23–$34 on a $229 clean. Our cleaners are paid well above minimum wage either way, so please don't feel obliged.
What if I'm not happy with the clean?
Tell us within 24 hours and we come back and put it right, at no charge. No forms, no debate, no partial credit. We'd rather fix it than lose you over something we can redo in an hour.
