What does warehouse and shop-floor cleaning include each visit?
The administrative part of the unit is priced as an office: reachable dusting and vacuuming of the office, dispatch and reception, each single-toilet washroom ($12), the lunchroom as the kitchenette ($25) and mopping of the office hard floors. The shop floor, racking aisles, loading dock and any process dust are seen at a walkthrough and quoted as their own scope, or done by the hour at $35 per cleaner-hour with a 3-hour minimum.
Measure the office, not the unit
Enter the office rooms' floor area in the calculator, not the whole unit. A 20,000 sq ft warehouse with a 900 sq ft office is a 900 sq ft office estimate plus a separate conversation about the floor.
Lunchrooms and washrooms used by shifts
A washroom used by office and floor staff on two shifts needs more visits than the desks do. Say so at the walkthrough; the washrooms and lunchroom can be on a different frequency from the office.
The shop floor
Sweeping, machine scrubbing, oil and metal-dust removal and racking aisles are not office work. They are walked, priced and written as their own scope, with the equipment and the safety rules of your floor taken into account.
How much does warehouse and shop-floor cleaning cost? From $105 a visit
From $105 a visit for the office Basic under 2,000 sq ft at two or three visits a week, $175 at 2,000–5,000 sq ft, before HST. Rooms are added as their own lines: $12 a single-toilet washroom, $25 the kitchenette, mopping $15 / $25 / $35 by floor area. How often should a warehouse or workshop be cleaned?
Twice a week for a small office beside the floor; every weekday for the lunchroom and washrooms on a two-shift operation. The shop floor's own schedule is set at the walkthrough.
If the office and the washrooms need different frequencies, the written scope can carry both: the office twice a week, the washrooms and lunchroom daily.
How do access, hours and security work for warehouses and shop floors?
Around shift handovers, with a safe walking route agreed, the entrance and lock-up procedure confirmed, and a floor contact named; the team follows your site's safety rules, including footwear and hi-vis where you require them.
Do not assume an evening visit means an empty building. Tell us which rooms stay occupied at each point in the visit and where forklifts run.
What is not included, and what needs a walkthrough?
Racking aisles, machine scrubbing, spill response, hazardous or process residues, exterior yards and dock plates are never part of the office estimate; they are quoted at the walkthrough or declined if they need specialist equipment. Bins and consumables are agreed there too.
Post-construction and post-fit-out cleaning of a new unit is a different service, priced at $45 per cleaner-hour, because construction dust needs HEPA filtration and repeated passes.

Do you clean the warehouse floor and racking?
Only as a separately agreed scope after a walkthrough, and only where ordinary sweeping, mopping and dusting are the right tools. Machine scrubbing, oil, metal dust and hazardous residues need specialist equipment we do not bring.
Can the washrooms be cleaned more often than the office?
Yes. The written scope can carry two frequencies: the office twice a week, the lunchroom and washrooms every weekday.
Are you insured, and can you provide a certificate of insurance?
Yes. Heron Cleaning carries $2 million commercial general liability insurance, underwritten by Tokio Marine Canada, for our cleaning and janitorial work. It covers our liability for bodily injury and property damage up to $2 million for any one incident and $5 million in total over the policy year, and the current policy runs to September 13, 2027. If your landlord or property manager needs proof of insurance before the first visit, ask at the walkthrough and we send the certificate.
