Bathrooms (+$20 each) and the kitchen (+$25) are add-ons you choose, so a home that only needs dusting, vacuuming and mopping pays only for that.

A Basic clean is dusting, vacuuming and mopping: every reachable surface and every accessible floor. Bathrooms and the kitchen are add-ons you choose. Inside the oven (from +$19), inside the fridge (from +$19), inside cabinets (+$29) and interior windows (from +$5 each) stay separate with either clean, so you only pay for the ones you want.

No. Inside the oven is from +$19 and inside the fridge is from +$19, whichever clean you book, and they are only done when you add them. Inside cabinets is +$29, emptied before we arrive. Deep cleaning is the detail upgrade (baseboards, frames, tracks, fixtures, buildup); it never silently includes the appliances, so a Deep clean without them costs exactly what the calculator shows.

Interior windows are priced per window so you can count them yourself: +$5 for a standard window (up to about 4 ft wide, reachable from the floor), +$10 for a large or oversized one (wider than 4 ft, floor-to-ceiling, bay or picture windows, anything needing a step ladder) and +$10 per patio or sliding door panel. Eight standard and two large windows is $60. Inside glass, frame and sill; exterior glass above the ground floor is a specialist trade we do not offer.

The balcony is its own selection so you only pay for what you want. $35 is the vacuum / sweep: the accessible floor, loose debris and cobwebs. Washing the floor is +$25, the railing +$15, railing glass panels +$5 each (large panels +$10) and the balcony door glass +$10. Interior windows are priced per window, from +$5. We do not pressure wash, and exterior window cleaning above the ground floor is a specialist trade we do not offer.

Yes, but never silently. When you build your clean we ask whether the property has a basement. A finished basement is +$45 small, +$59 medium or +$75 large for dusting, vacuuming and mopping, and any bathroom or kitchenette down there is added at the normal price so nothing is charged twice. An unfinished basement is not part of the clean unless you ask; we confirm the scope by phone.

Yes, one flat +$25 per visit when there are pets in the home, however many you have. It covers the extra passes pet hair needs on floors, furniture and along baseboards, litter and feeding areas wiped around, and pet-safe products throughout. Choose “pets at home” when you build your clean and it shows as its own line; a typical 3-bedroom home with two bathrooms, the kitchen and a pet is $254 before HST, and the weekly or bi-weekly discount applies to the pets line like the rest of the clean. Post-construction cleans are scoped at the walkthrough instead.

Yes. Bedrooms set the Basic price, and above 1,500 sq ft a home size adjustment is added as its own line: +$15 for 1,500–1,999 sq ft, +$20 for 2,000–2,499 sq ft, +$45 for 2,500–2,999 sq ft, +$70 for 3,000–3,499 sq ft, +$100 for 3,500–3,999 sq ft and +$150 for 4,000–4,999 sq ft. Over 5,000 sq ft we confirm by phone. The Deep and move-in / move-out upgrades scale the same way, so a 4,000 sq ft home is priced as the job it is rather than as an ordinary four-bedroom.

We ask when you build your clean. If your building has free visitor or service parking, nothing changes. If parking is paid, we pay it and charge it at actual cost, and we agree the likely amount with you before we arrive, so it is on the quote, not a surprise on the invoice. If you are not sure, we check the building with you when you call. Difficult access, a long carry, no elevator or loading restrictions, is +$20, and concierge sign-in or a service-elevator booking costs nothing; just tell us the routine.

Companies in the GTA charge $45 to $60 per cleaner, per hour; independents $30 to $40 cash. Heron is $35 per cleaner, per hour with a 3-hour minimum per cleaner, supplies included, if you would rather set the task list yourself. Most people do better with a built clean: Basic from $89, then only the rooms and jobs you add, with the total fixed before we arrive.

Compare the complete task list rather than a broad market average. At Heron, a typical 3-bedroom home is $164 for Basic dusting, vacuuming and mopping, or $229 with two bathrooms and the kitchen, before HST. Other providers may bundle different tasks. Never expected, always appreciated. If you'd like to, 10–15% is typical, around $23–$34 on a $229 clean. Our cleaners are paid well above minimum wage either way, so please don't feel obliged.

The starting price covers a narrow scope: dusting, vacuuming and mopping. You then add the rooms and tasks you need. That keeps the entry price low, but it does not mean a fuller Heron clean always costs less than another company’s package. Compare complete quotes before deciding.
